August 2001 |
Each fall I
feel excitement in the air. For many years as a student, fall meant a new
school year, new possibilities. The end of summer means children will be
returning to routines and school. Learn how to smooth the transition from
summer vacation to school in In a Nutshell. You will also get ideas
on protecting your PC from power surges during those summer/fall storms.
August lacks a national holiday, so if you need something to celebrate, here’s a few ideas. On Aug. 4th, slap your hotdog with the condiment of the day. National Mustard Day pays tribute to ketchup’s pal. Acknowledge friendship and family on Sister’s Day, Aug. 5th. Enjoy one of summers last lazy days on Aug. 15th, National Relaxation Day. August is also Admit You’re Happy Month, Family Fun Month and National Win with Civility Month. Enjoy the end of summer with a scramble of words related to the season in Treehouse Games. Get a kick out of management’s confusing comments in Treehouse Trivia.
