Break out the shorts, swimsuits and sunscreen. May is here with it’s warm days and sunshine. This month is usually filled with days in the 70s with limited humidity (one of my favorite types of weather). If I could find a place on Earth with year-round weather like this, I would have to seriously consider a move.

Along with the wonderful temperatures come two of my less than favorite things, bugs and allergies. May is National Allergy/Asthma Awareness Month, the goal of which is to teach people how to control and avoid allergies that cause severe reactions.

No Diet Day on May 6 aims to increase the awareness of the dangers of fad diets and to encourage the adoption of healthy eating habits. I personally don’t believe in diets. I think you have to look at it as a change of lifestyle or habit and make a lifelong commitment. Diets are here today and the pounds are back tomorrow.

Mothers will be honored on May 12, Mother’s Day, this year. See if you know who said what about mothers in Treehouse Games. Whether you are grilling, picnicking or joining in a baseball game, take a moment on Memorial Day, May 27, to remember and honor those who have died in battle.

I just returned from a long weekend trip to Las Vegas. Before leaving, I booked my day trip to the Grand Canyon and researched the shows I wanted to see online. Learn how to plan your next trip via the Internet from In A Nutshell. You will also learn how to handle the stress of change.

In Treehouse Trivia you can read about how to control eating before bedtime and what precautions you can take to protect yourself from identity theft.
