I read a statistic the other day that said something like only one-third of adults read books. I thought, “You’ve got to be kidding me!” Reading is one of my favorite pastimes. During those busy periods, I really miss being able to pick up a good book and enter a different world. Join me in raising that statistic during National Book Month. Also during October, Fire Prevention Week (Oct. 9-15) aims to increase awareness of the dangers of fire and to educate everyone on how to stay safe. National Networking Week runs from Oct. 10 through 16. This invaluable skill can help you make connections both personally and professionally.
Does the thought of your teenager driving keep you awake at night? Relax a bit and try the safety ideas from In a Nutshell. Keep going to find out how much your old computer is worth and a few stats on identity theft. Test your knowledge of all things trivial in Treehouse Games. Then in Treehouse Trivia learn the most common four lines of the English language and get punny for a few laughs.
