There must be a day, a week, a month for almost everything, from peanut butter to getting to know your neighbor. By far the most unusual acknowledgement I have come across lately is Squirrel Awareness Week, which was recently stretched out to an entire month. The Squirrel Lovers Club even has a website with all kinds of squirrelly information at www.thesquirrelloversclub.com.

Also during October, Halloween Safety Month encourages everyone to prepare for a safe holiday. Test your knowledge of Halloween history and safety measures in Treehouse Games before the spooky day arrives on Oct. 31.

In other holiday news, commemorate the explorer’s arrival in the New World on Columbus Day, Oct. 9.  After starting off with Christopher, continue your week by Improving Your Home Office (Oct. 9-13). Use the time to equip your office properly and ensure your home office fits your work style. For more information, go to www.homeofficelife.com.

I have been told the needles don’t hurt and that they are extremely thin. If you are interested in learning more about this centuries-old healing art, read In a Nutshell.  Keep reading if you are planning a job search and want to make sure your Internet reputation is blemish-free. Then, stop by Treehouse Trivia to learn the art of conversation and why teenage drivers need to take their time to master all four wheels.
